There is no better feeling than coming into a book with sky high expectations and it easily meets it, which is a great summary for my experience with Kings of the Wyld. TL DR: Brilliant read in a very incredible fantasy setting with likable characters and badass encounters. It's time to get the band back together for one last tour across the Wyld.

Then an ex-bandmate turns up at Clay's door with a plea for help. Their glory days long past, the mercs have grown apart and grown old, fat, drunk - or a combination of the three. I usually have 6-10 books on my monthly TBR, but I decided for June to have 12 as a way to push myself (not a great idea) and out of all of them Kings of the Wyld was the book I looked forward to the most!Ĭlay Cooper and his band were once the best of the best - the meanest, dirtiest, most feared crew of mercenaries this side of the Heartwyld.
